Winner of the Canon Club Nordic Challenge

I participated in the Canon Club Nordic Challenge: Spring Portraits.

I had completely forgotten this already.. Until I was recently informed that my image has been selected as one of the three winning photos by Sofie Hammer. Cool!

I got this sweet, little note from Sofie:

“Thank you for sharing this beautiful portrait. I was immediately drawn to the dreamy atmosphere and the soft, ethereal quality of the light. The way you’ve used diffusion creates a very poetic and emotional image, and the profile composition feels both elegant and timeless. A lovely example of how portrait photography can move beyond documentation and become something more interpretive and artistic.”

This photo is actually a self-portrait. I had just a small pocket size “point and shoot” Canon camera back then. I was just playing around in my living room (which had a nice, huge window) and took this photo hand-held. No tripods, no timers, or anything other fancy stuff.. Just some patience and passion for photography.
